The second season of the popular multiplayer team shooter, The Finals, is set to be released this week. Season 2 brings in a hacker-themed storyline that introduces new gameplay elements, a new game mode, an additional map, private match support, and more exciting features.

One of the major highlights of The Finals Season 2 is the introduction of the new Hacker playstyle. This playstyle offers a set of unique gadgets for each class – Light, Medium, and Heavy. The gadgets are centered around the concept of ‘hacking’ the game world to create interesting and strategic gameplay moments.

Light characters in The Finals Season 2 receive the Gateway gadget, which allows them to create portals for quick movement. These portals function similarly to Sombra’s teleporters in Overwatch 2, providing a way for players and teammates to teleport between locations. The Gateway gadget adds a new level of mobility and tactical options for Light class players.

Medium Class Gadgets

Medium class characters come equipped with two gadgets in Season 2. The Dematerializer allows players to create temporary openings in objects, providing a strategic way to navigate the map and surprise opponents. The Data Reshaper gadget allows players to transform objects, offering a versatile tool for dealing with enemy defenses or creating unique gameplay opportunities.

Players using the Heavy class in The Finals Season 2 gain access to the Anti-Gravity Cube gadget. This gadget can affect both people and objects, allowing players to manipulate gravity to their advantage. The Anti-Gravity Cube provides opportunities for creative strategies and disrupting opponents during gameplay.

New Weapons and Map

In addition to the new gadgets, all classes will receive new weapons to use in Season 2. Light class players will have a burst-fire machine pistol, while Medium class players get a burst assault rifle. Heavy class players will wield a slug shotgun. These new weapons add variety and new combat options for players.

The new season also introduces a new map called SYS$HORIZON, set in a neon city environment. Players will have the opportunity to explore this new map and experience the dynamic gameplay it offers. Additionally, a new five-on-five casual mode called Power Shift is introduced, where teams compete to escort a giant floating platform through the map.

Season 2 brings changes to the game’s League System, promising a better and more rewarding experience for competitive players. The Career Circuit feature offers weekly rewards and the chance to rank up from Rookie to Master by completing contracts. Private matches are also being tested in a beta phase, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends in a more controlled environment.

The Finals Season 2 is set to provide players with an exciting and fresh gaming experience. With new gadgets, weapons, maps, game mode, and competitive features, players can expect a rich and engaging gameplay experience. The introduction of the Hacker playstyle adds a new dimension to gameplay, offering innovative ways to approach matches and outsmart opponents. Season 2 of The Finals promises to be a thrilling ride for fans of the game.
