Capcom has recently revealed their plans to address Dragonsplague afflictions in the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 game. This news comes as a response to player feedback, with the studio acknowledging the need to make the Dragonsplague experience more manageable for players. In addition to fixing minor issues and adjusting Pawn behavior, Capcom has made reducing the frequency of Dragonsplague infections a high priority for the game’s next major update.

One of the key changes players can expect is the adjustment of signs indicating that a Pawn has been infected with Dragonsplague. According to detailed update notes from Capcom, infected Pawns will now exhibit more noticeable signs such as glowing eyes. This will make it easier for players to identify and address infected Pawns, reducing the risk of unintentionally recruiting them and spreading the infection further.

While the upcoming update aims to make Dragonsplague more manageable, dealing with infected Pawns will still present a challenge for players. When encountering an infected Pawn, players will need to take immediate action to prevent them from causing harm to nearby towns. This can be done by either dismissing the infected Pawn, allowing them to die in battle, or purposefully killing them through various means such as drowning them in water.

Apart from addressing Dragonsplague afflictions, the next Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch will also introduce several other improvements to the game. These include options for zooming in on Arisen and Pawn faces, fixes for issues related to the mini-map, escort quests, and jail mechanics. Additionally, adjustments will be made to Pawn behavior and dialogue to make them more intelligent and less prone to dying in avoidable ways.

Capcom has announced that the new game update is scheduled for release in April 2024 for PC and consoles. While an exact date has not yet been confirmed, the studio is actively working on implementing tweaks and fixes to ensure a smooth launch. Players are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates on the evolving world of Dragon’s Dogma 2.
