The upcoming Diablo 4 season 5 is set to take players back down to hell with a slew of exciting updates. One of the major highlights of this new season is the introduction of a new questline that promises to shake things up in the world of Diablo. Players can expect to encounter cut-throat enemies, shifting alliances, and unexpected friendships as they progress through this new narrative.

In addition to the new questline, players will also have access to a new endgame activity called the Infernal Hordes. This activity is described as being similar to Nightmare Dungeons, but with a roguelike twist. Players will be tasked with surviving increasingly difficult waves of Hellspawn for 90 seconds each while collecting Burning Aether to unlock powerful new gear.

Accessing the Infernal Hordes

To access the Infernal Hordes, players will need to obtain a Compass that grants access to Hell. These Compasses come in eight different tiers that increase in difficulty and World Tier as players progress. By using a new consumable called Abyssal Scrolls, players can upgrade their Compasses to face tougher challenges and earn better rewards.

Once players successfully complete all the waves of the Infernal Hordes, they will face off against the Fell Council, a group of formidable foes with unique abilities. Defeating these bosses will allow players to claim one of four different Spoils of Hell, including Spoils of Equipment, Spoils of Material, Spoils of Gold, and Spoils of Greater Equipment.

Exciting Additions and Changes

Aside from the new questline and endgame activity, Diablo 4 season 5 also introduces 50 new Legendaries and Uniques for players to discover. Additionally, there are numerous balancing changes for every class, ensuring a more dynamic and engaging gameplay experience. One particularly significant addition is the ability to re-summon bosses without having to reset the entire dungeon, offering players more opportunities to challenge themselves and earn valuable rewards.

The season 5 PTR for Diablo 4 is scheduled to run from June 25 to July 2, during which time players can provide feedback to Blizzard regarding their experiences with the new content. This feedback will be used to make any necessary tweaks before the official launch of season 5.

Diablo 4 season 5 is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting and engaging experience for players. With a new questline, challenging endgame activity, and a slew of new items and features, there’s plenty to look forward to in the world of Diablo. Make sure to mark your calendars and get ready to dive back into the depths of hell in this upcoming season.
