The most recent Nintendo Direct showcased the upcoming release of Super Mario Party Jamboree, the latest entry in the Mario Party series. Set to launch on October 17, this game will mark the third iteration of Mario Party on the Nintendo Switch. With over 110 minigames, Nintendo is touting Jamboree as the biggest Mario Party game yet.

Preorders for Super Mario Party Jamboree are currently live at major retailers. Following the success of 2021’s Mario Party Superstars and 2018’s Super Mario Party, players can prepare for Jamboree by purchasing Superstars for $50 or picking up Super Mario Party on its own for $50. Alternatively, a bundle including the game and a pair of red and blue Joy-Con controllers is available for $99. This bundle provides a convenient way to add more players to the party, as Mario Party games can be played with single Joy-Con controllers.

Super Mario Party Jamboree preorders are available for $60 at Best Buy and GameStop, with Target likely to begin taking orders soon. Notably, Amazon and Walmart do not carry the most recent or upcoming Nintendo games, such as Jamboree. While listings for Paper Mario may be found on these websites from third-party sellers, official Nintendo releases are not available through Amazon or Walmart.

Super Mario Party Jamboree promises to bring exciting new features to the series, including more mini-games, five new maps, and a selection of returning maps from previous entries. In addition to the classic Mario Party experience of board traversal and competition against friends, players can engage in online play with up to 19 others in the new Koopathlon mode. While Nintendo has not yet revealed all the new modes in Jamboree, players can anticipate further announcements as the release date approaches.

In addition to Super Mario Party Jamboree, the latest Nintendo Direct showcased several other upcoming games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Titles like The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD were featured. Furthermore, fans received a glimpse of the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4, scheduled for a 2025 release. For those considering purchasing a Switch console, Walmart and Target offer Switch Lite bundles with popular games.

As Super Mario Party Jamboree draws closer to its release date, fans can look forward to additional updates and information. With new mini-games, maps, and online modes, this installment promises to be a significant addition to the iconic Mario Party series. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting party game experience.
