The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a popular RPG game, recently received a new set of official modding tools known as REDKit. These tools allow players to customize their gaming experience by adding new elements to the game, such as custom questlines. Just a short while after the release of REDKit, ‘Tuber xLetalis and modder glassfish collaborated to showcase around 20 minutes of cut content from the game’s ending.

The cut scenes featured in the video take place between Geralt’s confrontation with Eredin and the game’s finale at the tower. They are set in a Niflgaardian camp and involve conversations with characters like Yennefer and Emperor Charles Dance. Additionally, there are optional chats and exploration sequences included in the cut content. One scene depicts Yennefer betraying the Lodge of Sorceress to the Nilfgaardians in an attempt to assist Ciri, but she allows Triss to escape, showcasing her softer side.

In the discarded scenes, players get to see extra interactions involving Crach an Craite, a character known for bestowing a highly-anticipated magic sword with underwhelming stats. The cut content brings to mind the intricate political maneuvering seen in The Witcher 2’s concluding moments. While The Witcher 3 was a fantastic game, many players feel a sense of loss over unresolved plotlines from its predecessor, such as the stories of Iorveth and Saskia, along with various other loose ends from the final act.

The release of REDKit has allowed modders to delve into the world of The Witcher 3 and bring forth hidden cut content that enhances the gaming experience for fans. While the original game was a masterpiece in its own right, the addition of these forgotten scenes adds depth and richness to the narrative, creating a more immersive gameplay experience. The exploration of the cut content serves as a reminder of the intricacies and complexities of The Witcher universe, leaving players eager for more hidden gems to be uncovered.
