The new Concord beta is creating a lot of buzz in the gaming community, as it enters the Open Beta phase allowing everyone to try it out. Excitingly, even those on PS5 do not need a PS+ subscription to join in during this beta weekend. This gives gamers the chance to experience Firewalk’s hero shooter well before its official launch date of August 23.

The Concord beta is split into two separate sessions over consecutive weekends. The first is the Early Access weekend from July 12-14, which requires pre-ordering the game through various platforms such as the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct, Epic Games Store, or Steam. Pre-ordering grants access to the beta and allows players to invite up to four friends to join in as well.

For those who did not pre-order, the Concord Open Beta weekend is from July 18-21 and does not require any purchase. Players can simply install the beta on their PS5 or PC starting July 18 at 10am PDT. Progress made in the Early Access Beta will carry over to the Open Beta, giving players a head start in mastering the game.

Players will have the opportunity to test out all 16 available characters, known as Freegunners, during the Concord beta. These unique characters each have their own abilities and playstyles, allowing players to find their perfect match. The game will offer 12 distinct maps and six team-based game modes, with plans for regular free updates post-launch.

As a thank you for participating in the beta, players will receive the exclusive Lil’ Frog weapon charm and the Star Flare Business Card. These rewards are a token of appreciation from the developers for helping test the game and provide valuable feedback.

The Concord beta is a great opportunity for gamers to get an early look at this highly anticipated hero shooter. With crossplay capabilities, a variety of maps and game modes, and a diverse roster of characters, Concord promises to be an exciting addition to the gaming world. Don’t miss out on the chance to participate in the beta and shape the future of this innovative game.
