Despite the completion of development for Hatch Tales on the Nintendo Switch, there have been ongoing delays that have frustrated eager fans. Atooi’s Jools Watsham announced in a recent Kickstarter update that the game is on the cusp of being submitted to Nintendo for final approval. However, a last-minute delay has pushed back the release date once again.

Watsham expressed apologies for the delay, acknowledging that it may be frustrating for fans who have been patiently waiting for the game’s release. The team behind Hatch Tales understands the disappointment that comes with delays, especially after the initial promise of a release date set for August 23, 2024.

To keep fans engaged and informed, Atooi has shared developer deep dives and sneak peeks of the game’s progress. In a recent update to backers, a bonus “Chibi-Mudds” level inspired by Mutant Mudds was revealed as one of the unlockable features in Hatch Tales. These updates provide insight into the game’s development process and offer a glimpse of what players can expect upon its release.

Hatch Tales, formerly known as ‘Chicken Wiggle Workshop,’ was crowdfunded in early 2018 with an initial estimated delivery date of December 2018. The game has been in development for over six years, highlighting the dedication and effort put into creating an engaging and enjoyable gaming experience for players.

While delays are disappointing for fans eagerly awaiting the release of Hatch Tales on the Nintendo Switch, it is important to remember that the developers are working tirelessly to ensure a polished and engaging game. By providing updates and sneak peeks, Atooi aims to keep fans informed and excited about the upcoming release. Despite the setbacks, the dedication and passion of the development team shine through, promising a game that will be worth the wait.
