Arc System Works recently announced that the North American release date for Dave The Diver: Anniversary Edition has been postponed until June 28th, 2024. The delay is attributed to production issues, according to the official statement released by the company.

Apology from Arc System Works

In the announcement, Arc System Works offered a formal apology for the inconvenience caused by the delay. They also assured customers who had already pre-ordered the game and the community that they would be updated with any further information regarding the release.

Earlier this year, pre-orders for the Japanese physical release of Dave The Diver were made available on Playasia. The version of the game is region-free and supports multiple languages, including English. Priced at USD $29.99, the game is expected to ship on May 30th, 2024.

Original Announcement of Anniversary Edition

Initially announced on February 29th, 2024, Arc System Works introduced the physical “Anniversary Edition” of Dave The Diver for the Switch, set to launch on May 30th, 2024. The collaboration between Dave The Diver and the fighting game Guilty Gear Strive promised additional content, such as themed graphics and costumes. The update also included a rhythm game with access to the song “The Disaster of Passion.”

Customers who purchased the Anniversary Edition early were promised special sticker sheets and a soundtrack CD featuring the game’s music. The version was confirmed to support English and other languages, making it accessible to a broader audience.

Potential Local Release

While the focus has been on the Japanese and North American releases, there has been speculation about a local release in other regions. Arc System Works has not provided any concrete information about this possibility, but fans are hopeful for a broader launch.

Overall, the delays and changes in release dates for Dave The Diver: Anniversary Edition have caused mixed reactions among fans. Despite the setbacks, the promise of additional content and exclusive bonuses has kept anticipation high for the game’s eventual launch.
