Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is set to release on April 23, much to the excitement of fans of the classic Suikoden RPG series. The game, developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios, has generated significant buzz since its announcement back in 2020. For PC players looking to secure their copy ahead of the launch date, Fanatical is offering a preorder deal that slashes the price from $50 down to $39.49. This 20% discount is available until the game officially launches.

In addition to PC, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will also be available on Steam and The Epic Games Store. The game is set to launch on a variety of platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. However, it’s worth noting that only the PS5 and Nintendo Switch versions will have physical releases outside of Japan. Neither version will include any preorder bonuses, making it a slightly less appealing option for collectors.

Players who opt for a digital preorder of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will receive the Early Bird Pack item bundle, which includes a bonus rune and accessory item, as well as the Headquarters Custom Object DLC, adding an extra flag for in-game display. While these bonuses are exclusive to PlayStation, PC, and Xbox preorders, they will eventually be available as purchasable DLC content for all platforms post-launch. Those who spring for the $80 Digital Deluxe edition will gain early access to the game starting April 21, along with various other exclusive items.

The standard edition of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be priced at $50 for PS5 and $60 for Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, the Switch version not only carries a higher price tag but will also be released a month later on May 21. In comparison, the PS5 version will launch on April 23. Neither version includes any preorder bonuses, but the game can be preordered at various retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target. For digital versions, the standard editions will be priced at $50 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PS5.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes pays homage to the Suikoden series and features familiar gameplay elements such as recruiting a large party of 100 members, a strategic turn-based battle system, and a fantasy setting filled with political conflict. The game also adds modern touches like voice acting and a blend of 2D sprites and high-quality 3D environments reminiscent of Square Enix’s HD-2D style. Unfortunately, the passing of Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of both Eiyuden Chronicle and Suikoden, adds a bittersweet note to the game’s upcoming release.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes promises an exciting return to the beloved RPG genre with nostalgic elements and modern innovations. As fans eagerly await its launch on April 23, the preorder bonuses and deluxe edition incentives offer extra enticement for those looking to dive deep into the world of Hundred Heroes.
