EcoFlow’s new Power Hat is making waves in the tech and fashion world with its unique combination of style and functionality. Described as a wide-brimmed floppy-ish sun hat full of solar cells, the Power Hat is designed to allow users to charge their phones on the go. While the idea of a solar-powered hat may sound a bit outlandish at first, the practical applications are actually quite intriguing.

According to EcoFlow, the Power Hat is capable of charging a 4,000mAh smartphone to capacity in as fast as 3-4 hours. The solar cells are made from a thin, flexible material called passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) monocrystalline silicon, offering roughly 12-watt charging via USB-A and USB-C connectors on the underside of the brim. Additionally, the hat is IP65 rated, meaning it is dust-proof and can withstand water jets from any direction.

The Power Hat comes in two size ranges: the smaller size is adjustable between 56-58cm (22-22.8 inches), while the larger size fits 59-61cm (23.2-24 inches). Currently available for pre-order until August 31st, EcoFlow expects to start shipping out the Power Hat in mid-September.

Overall, EcoFlow’s Power Hat is a bold and innovative addition to the world of wearable tech. While it may not be the most fashionable accessory, its practicality and eco-friendly features make it an interesting choice for tech-savvy individuals who spend a lot of time outdoors. Whether you’re camping, hiking, or simply enjoying a day at the beach, the Power Hat could be a useful and convenient way to stay connected while on the go.
