The Indigo Disk, the second DLC in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet series, has brought forth several exciting updates. One of the notable additions is the introduction of a new evolution for Dipplin, the evolved form of Applin. This new evolution is called Hydrapple. In this article, we will explore how players can obtain and evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple in the Indigo Disk DLC.

To begin the process of evolving Dipplin into Hydrapple, players must first acquire an Applin. However, Applin cannot be caught directly in the Terarium within the Indigo Disk DLC. Instead, players need to catch Applin in the Kitakami area, which is part of the first DLC. Once Applin is in their possession, players can proceed with the evolution process.

To evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple, players must teach them the move called Dragon Cheer and level it up. The move Dragon Cheer can be taught using TM 226, which is rewarded for defeating Drayton of the Blueberry Academy Elite Four. Drayton, a dragon-type user, is located in the Polar Biome. Players must defeat three trainers using only Pokemon caught in the Terarium to access Drayton’s trial.

The battle against Drayton requires players to showcase their skills and strategy in defeating him. Once players emerge victorious, they will unlock TM 226, Dragon Cheer. This TM can be crafted at the TM maker in the Central Plaza. However, if players have not yet reached the elite four battles, they must progress further in the main story to gain access. Drayton also provides players with a Dragon Cheer TM to use. In the event that players need to craft another one, they will require 1,500 League Points. Additionally, players will need 2 Tatsugiri Scales, 2 Lapras Teardrops, and 1 Applin Juice, which can be obtained by defeating specific wild Pokemon.

After successfully teaching Dipplin the Dragon Cheer move, players need to level it up once, either through battles or by using EXP candy. When Dipplin reaches the required level, it will evolve into Hydrapple. This evolution signifies the completion of the evolution process and presents players with a stronger and more formidable Pokemon.

The Indigo Disk DLC has brought an exciting new evolution for Dipplin in the form of Hydrapple. By following the steps outlined in this article, players can obtain Applin, teach Dipplin the Dragon Cheer move, and evolve it into the powerful Hydrapple. Embark on this evolution journey and enhance your Pokemon team with the formidable Hydrapple in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC.
