United Label recently announced the upcoming release of the highly anticipated hack ‘n’ slash sequel, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, on the Nintendo Switch in February 2025. The game was showcased during Microsoft’s Gamescom broadcast, unveiling some captivating gameplay footage and featuring narration from renowned Witcher voice actor, Doug Cockle. Described as “half Witcher, half Game of Thrones” in the trailer, the game promises an exciting adventure for fans of both franchises.
The sequel retains the brutal combat style of its predecessor, enhanced by visually stunning stylised graphics and impressive use of lighting and color. With an expanded campaign focusing on violence and revenge, players will embark on a gripping journey with Arlo, battling against the ferocious Dark Wing Bats in a semi-open RPG world spanning six diverse biomes. The introduction of new animal factions adds further depth to the gameplay experience.
Tails of Iron 2 introduces challenging combat mechanics, offering players enhanced weapon gameplay with four elemental effects to imbue Arlo’s arsenal. Players can experiment with fire, ice, electricity, and poison to gain unique abilities that can be used strategically against enemies.
