The developers of the popular Pokémon-like online game, Temtem, have announced the final major updates for the game. Patch 1.7 and Patch 1.8 will be the last major updates, with Patch 1.7 set to be released in early June. This update will include a new season, a new Tamer Pass, balance changes, quality of life updates, and much more. Patch 1.8 will follow with even more quality of life updates, balance changes, a renovation of the game’s economy, and new additions.

One of the biggest changes coming with these updates is the removal of monetization. Microtransactions will be eliminated starting from Patch 1.7, with items previously purchasable with ‘Novas’ now available for purchase with Feathers. In Patch 1.8, players will have the option to choose any Tamer Pass from the past and complete its tracks, with these passes unlocking using Feathers from now on.

Despite the end of major updates, the developers have assured players that the game will continue to have its servers online for the foreseeable future. They have also confirmed that there are no plans to introduce an offline mode. Players can find more details about the future of Temtem on the official Crema website.

Crema, the developers of Temtem, expressed their gratitude towards the community and their satisfaction with the final product. They acknowledged that while the game may have unrealized potential, they are proud of the experience they have created. The team highlighted the journey from the game’s inception on Kickstarter in 2018 to its release on the Nintendo Switch in 2022. Over this time, they have introduced 165 Tems and six islands for players to explore.

Overall, the future of Temtem looks promising, with the removal of monetization and the final major updates aiming to enhance the player experience. Despite not being a perfect game, Temtem has provided hundreds of hours of joy and fun for its players. The developers remain optimistic about the growth of the game and are grateful for the support of the community throughout the journey.
