Steven Ogg, the actor behind the character Trevor in GTA 5, has finally confirmed the long-standing rumors about the cancelled “Agent Trevor” DLC for the game. This DLC would have taken Trevor on an undercover mission with the FBI, giving players a whole new storyline to explore. Unfortunately, this DLC, along with two others, was cancelled by Rockstar Games in 2017.
According to Ogg, some of the content for Agent Trevor had already been recorded and he had been briefed on the story. Trevor was supposed to take on the role of a secret agent, working for the feds while still maintaining his signature personality of being a “fuck up.” The concept of “James Bond Trevor” was intriguing, but unfortunately, the project was abandoned before it could see the light of day.
It is unclear how far along the development of Agent Trevor was before it was ultimately cancelled. The decision to scrap the DLC was made public in 2017, but it is believed that the work on these expansions was stopped much earlier. Some elements of the Agent Trevor concept were repurposed into GTA Online heists, showcasing the potential that the DLC had before its cancellation.
The Legacy of Agent Trevor
With the plans for Agent Trevor now abandoned and in the past, it is unlikely that we will ever see this DLC or any remnants of it in the future. The cancelled expansion remains a mystery to many players, leaving them to wonder what could have been if Rockstar Games had continued with the development of Agent Trevor’s story.
Overall, the loss of the Agent Trevor DLC for GTA 5 is a disappointment for fans who were eagerly anticipating a new adventure for the beloved character. Despite the cancellation, the legacy of Agent Trevor lives on in the minds of players who can only imagine the exciting undercover missions that could have been.
