Inti Creates, the developer behind GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle, has recently announced that the musical rhythm game has been temporarily removed from the North American Switch eShop. The studio revealed in a tweet that the removal was necessary due to a “change in ratings”. This move has left fans in the region disappointed, as they are currently unable to access the game on the eShop.

Inti Creates has assured players that they are working diligently to resolve the rating change issue and have the game reinstated on the eShop as soon as possible. It is unfortunate that the game had to be taken down so shortly after its release on 15th February. The team is determined to rectify the situation and make the game available for purchase again in North America.

This is not the first time that Inti Creates has faced a situation like this. Last year, another one of their titles, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, was also removed from the eShop due to a trademark complaint on its title. The game had to be rebranded as “Gal Guardians: Demon Purge” to comply with the complaint. While the current removal of GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle seems less severe, it is still a setback for the studio.

GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle is a rhythm music game that spins off from the popular Azure Striker Gunvolt series. It features the songstresses Lumen, Lola, and Luxia singing 15 different songs. Players must follow the notes to the beat and aim for a top score in this electrifying rhythm game. The game offers a fully immersive experience with dual analog controls that sync with the characters’ dancing in the 3D backgrounds.

The temporary removal of GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle from the North American Switch eShop has created a sense of disappointment among fans. However, Inti Creates is working hard to resolve the rating change issue and bring the game back to the eShop as soon as possible. Despite this setback, the game continues to be available on the European counterpart, providing some relief to eager players in that region.
