The highly anticipated Lovestruck Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 is scheduled to be released on 25 July 2024. Along with the Expansion Pack, there will be a free update that will introduce fresh features for all players. Players who choose to purchase the Expansion Pack will have access to dating mechanics, new clothing and decoration items, careers, fears, and aspirations.
Polyamory in The Sims 4
One of the significant features of the Lovestruck update is the addition of a “Romantic Boundaries” system that will be available to all players. This system allows players to set jealousy levels and boundaries around Sims dating multiple Sims. Currently, Sims who engage in relationships with multiple partners are met with negative consequences, such as a heartbroken Sim or even a fight.
The new update will change this dynamic and give players the ability to define low or no jealousy levels for Sims, enabling multiple consenting Sims to be in relationships simultaneously. Players can look forward to “online” dating options, Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs similar to The Sims 2, and new opportunities to find love in three charming and romantic neighborhoods. These neighborhoods will offer cozy spots for dates and special Singles Hangout Lots designed for eligible singles looking for companionship.
Alongside the core features of the Lovestruck Expansion Pack, players can expect new dating interactions, a dynamic system that defines relationships, and a Romance Skill that can be improved for smoother romantic interactions. The Expansion Pack will also introduce love-themed furniture, clothing, and other Create-A-Sim items to enhance players’ experience.
